Herbert
Chiu, D.D.S.
Dr. Chiu has been a dentist in the Fremont
area since 1985. He received his undergraduate degree with Honors from
Oregon State University, School of Pharmacy and his Doctor of Dental Surgery
degree with High Honors from the University of the Pacific, School of
Dentistry in San Francisco. Although Dr. Chiu has been in this country for
most of his life, he is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and the Shanghai
dialect. Dr. Chiu is very involved in the surrounding community, and has
chaired and volunteered in
many community service projects. He is a board member of the Citizens for
Better Community and the Mission San Jose Chamber of Commerce. A resident of Fremont since 1979,
Dr. Chiu enjoys live music, traveling, fitness training and fine dining.
Jeffrey
Ching, D.D.S.
A native of the island of Oahu in Hawaii, Dr.
Ching attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California for his
undergraduate studies and later received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree
from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Graduated at the ripe old age of 23, he was the youngest in his class. He
contemplated to pursue an Orthodontic degree and is especially fond of the
Cosmetic aspect of Dentistry. Dr. Ching is a member of the American Dental
Association and the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. His wife, Cara, teaches
dental assisting and hygiene at Foothill Community College in Los Altos.
Together they keep busy raising their son Casey who enjoys Boy Scouts,
sports and school. In his spare time, Dr. Ching enjoys old movies, good
restaurants, biking, golf and books of all kind. He is a consummate race
fan, especially Fl.
Ratna
Sie, D.M.D.
Dr. Sie was born in the island of Java in
Indonesia. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from
Rutgers University in New Jersey and later graduated from the prestigious
Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 1991. After finishing a year
of dental residency program at the University of California in San Francisco
School of Dentistry, she served as a clinical instructor at the UCSF
Temporomandibular Disorder Clinic between 1992 - 1994. Dr. Sie was in
private practice in
Berkeley from 1992 - 2002. She has recently decided to practice closer to
home and joined Mission Palm Dental Associates. Aside from devoting much of
her time raising her two sons, Brandon and David, she enjoys flower
arranging, cake decorating, piano, biking and tennis in her spare time.
